Committee Members

Avanti Pandit
President
Hello everyone, my name is Avanti and I am the President of MMCS this year. I am a third year medical student and I have a BSc in Biochemistry from Lancaster University. I like being in the MMCS as it allows me to learn about the different medical fields and gives me the opportunity to educate other medical students about these. The medical field is one of the most versatile fields in the world and there are a wealth of available opportunities that medical students have not even heard of! It is our aim to provide information about career choices to medical students and doctors, so get in touch if there is a field you would like to know about!

Hello, I'm Maryiam, i'm in my fourth year currently based at MRI, I am new to the MMCS commitee this year. I joined the committee because I feel the society is highly important in allowing students to explore the various different medical specialities and learn more about them. It will allow you to further explore specialities you may already have an interest in, as well as provide you with information regarding specialities you may not have previously thought about! (Some specialities may pleasantly surprise you!) My main role involves maintaining the website and our social media pages.
